A MACDONALD SAFETY CORRIDOR PROTOCOL SERIES SEMINAR
Unlocking the Pelvis & the Pelvic Floor Protocol
A hands-on, nervous-system-informed seminar for chiropractors
Rendezvous Hotel Perth Scarborough
Presented by Dr. Don MacDonald and Brandi MacDonald, founders of The Informed Chiropractor.
The pelvis and pelvic floor are the gateway of neurological safety — one of the most overlooked yet influential regions in the body, shaping stability, movement, breathing, and nervous system regulation. When they aren't functioning well, they can drive persistent low back and hip patterns and compensation throughout the body. In this one-day, hands-on immersion, you'll learn to assess the pelvis and pelvic floor with confidence, understand its global impact on function, and apply simple, practical strategies — so your practice members respond more consistently and hold their adjustments longer.
Limited to approximately 20 chiropractors.
The pelvis is more than a collection of parts
Chiropractors regularly work with people presenting with persistent tension, altered movement, breathing changes, pelvic instability, and protective patterns that don't always make sense through a purely mechanical lens. The pelvis and pelvic floor participate in posture, pressure management, gait, breathing, fascial tension, sensory information, and the way the nervous system responds to the environment. This seminar gives you a practical framework for exploring those relationships with greater curiosity and specificity — designed to expand what you notice and how you respond, not to replace the adjusting approach you've already developed.
Enhance the way you already adjust
The MacDonald Safety Corridor Protocol is technique-agnostic by design. You won't be asked to abandon your current technique or perform an entirely separate style of care. Instead, Don and Brandi will help you explore how observation, communication, tissue response, neurological input, and clinical decision-making can support the work you already do. The goal isn't to add more mechanical steps; it's to help you make more informed choices at the table.
What you will explore
- The science of sensation — how sensory information, mechanoreception, and sensory-motor integration inform how you observe and assess the pelvic region.
- Fascial relationships within the pelvis — understanding the pelvis as an interconnected, adaptable region rather than isolated structures.
- Pelvic assessment through a nervous-system lens: the relationships among sacrum, coccyx, ilia, pubic symphysis, ischial tuberosities, surrounding tissues, breathing, movement, and protective physiology.
- Practical pelvic floor applications: hands-on instruction, with attention to safety, observation, tissue rapport, consent, and integration with different chiropractic techniques.
- How to more comfortably address many challenges that can come from pelvic floor issues, and all of the care is done over clothing. This is a much less invasive way to address pelvic floor challenges than most are used to.
A hands-on learning experience
Understanding the concepts matters. Feeling the differences under your hands matters too. The day combines explanation, demonstration, guided practice, questions, and feedback — capped at approximately 20 chiropractors so you get room to practise and receive support, not just watch from your seat. The day runs 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a 90-minute lunch break (lunch is on your own). If you have a portable table, please bring it.
You will leave with:
- A more integrated way to think about the pelvis and pelvic floor
- Practical assessment principles you can begin exploring in practice
- Hands-on experience with the protocol
- Language for communicating the work without overwhelming practice members
- A framework that accompanies a range of existing adjusting techniques
Who this seminar is for
This experience is designed for chiropractors who:
- Want to expand how they assess and understand the pelvic region
- Are curious about the relationship between structure, fascia, sensory input, and nervous-system regulation
- Want practical, hands-on learning rather than theory alone
- Work with postpartum, aging, athletic, or complex practice populations
- Want an approach that complements rather than replaces their existing technique
- Value a small, supportive learning environment where questions are welcome
Note: No previous MacDonald Safety Corridor Protocol seminar is required.
Because we travel internationally to teach this seminar, there are no refunds or transfers — please make sure you can attend before registering.

Rendezvous Hotel Perth Scarborough
148 The Esplanade, Scarborough, Western Australia 6019
Rendezvous Scarborough offers a range of dynamic facilities. With modern conference spaces and great dining options, the hotel caters to a variety of guests. Whether you’re a family, couple, group of friends, or you’re on a business trip, it’s the perfect place to relax.
The hotel, originally called Observation City, has had an interesting history from the time it was built for late tycoon Alan Bond in 1986. Mr. Bond anticipated demand for accommodation during the 1987 America’s Cup challenge in Fremantle and wanted a view of the yachts. To this day, after 3 decades, Rendezvous Scarborough is still Perth’s only beachside high-rise. Another fun historical fact is that you can still see the grand piano that Michael Jackson played on when he stayed in 1996.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need experience working with the pelvic floor?
No previous pelvic floor or MacDonald Safety Corridor Protocol seminar is required.
Will I need to change my chiropractic technique?
No. The material complements a variety of adjusting approaches — you'll explore new ways of observing, assessing, communicating, and deciding while keeping the technique you use.
Is the seminar hands-on?
Yes — explanation, demonstration, guided practice, and feedback throughout the day.
Is lunch included?
No. There's a 90-minute lunch break; lunch is on your own.
What is the refund policy?
Because we travel internationally to teach this seminar, we don't offer refunds or transfers — please make sure you can attend before registering.
Should I bring anything?
Wear comfortable clothing suitable for hands-on learning; pants or shorts are best. We all work on each other, so wearing a dress is not ideal for pelvic floor palpation. If you have a portable adjusting table, please bring it; the more tables we have, the more hands-on time everyone gets. This is delicate work, and hands-on confidence helps you implement it in practice on Monday.
