THE MACDONALD SAFETY CORRIDOR SHOULDERS AND PELVIC FLOOR

Location: Adelaide, South Australia
Venue: Stamford Grand Adelaide Hotel
Venue Website: https://www.stamford.com.au/hotels/stamford-grand-adelaide-hotel
Time: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM

We intentionally scheduled this seminar at the same hotel where Concordia is being held, hosted by the Australian Chiropractic College. That means you can stay in one location for the entire weekend without traveling between events.

Concordia begins at 6 pm, and our seminar ends at 4 pm, giving you a couple of hours to grab a drink, decompress, and ease into the evening program.

We are offering this event in Adelaide because Brandi was invited to speak at Concordia. Since we were already travelling over, we wanted to create a special hands-on opportunity for our Australian chiropractors.

Join Dr. Don and Brandi MacDonald for a full day of training focused on applying Polyvagal principles and fascial science to adjusting the shoulders, ribs, and pelvic floor. This seminar will give you practical, neurologically grounded strategies that immediately improve patient regulation and clinical outcomes.

A New Expansion of the Safety Corridor Protocol

This one-day intensive explores two of the most influential and under-addressed regions in chiropractic care: the shoulder complex and the pelvic floor.

The seminar blends Polyvagal Theory, fascia research, and predictable hands-on adjusting strategies that meet today’s stressed and aging population where they are.

There is no requirement to have taken a previous Safety Corridor course.
This event supports both new and returning chiropractors.

What You Will Learn

Adjusting Through a Polyvagal Lens

Learn how safety cues, predictability, and timing shape the neurological response to adjusting. Understand how to work with sensitive regions without overwhelming the CNS.

The Shoulder and Pelvic Floor Connection

Explore the neurological and fascial pathways linking these two regions. Understand why unresolved protective patterns often show up in both and how these areas influence breath, posture, gait, and emotional tone.

Fascia and Aging

Discover new research on fascial hydration, stiffness, mechanosensitivity, and lymphatic flow. Learn why fascia becomes a major clinical player as patients age and how adjusting these regions restores flow and stability.

Using the Safety Corridor

Apply the Safety Corridor framework to influence vagal tone, improve interoception, and expand the impact of your core adjusting technique.

Hands-On Adjusting Strategies

Develop confidence in assessing and adjusting the shoulders, upper ribs, and the pelvic floor in ways that honour safety, timing, and neurological capacity. Expect techniques you can use immediately on Monday.

Why This Seminar Matters

The shoulders and pelvic floor are gateways to regulation. When viewed through a Polyvagal and fascial lens, they offer powerful access points for improving:

  • Vagal tone

  • Breath mechanics

  • Posture and gait

  • Emotional expression

  • Core stability

  • Global fascial tension

  • Resilience in aging populations

This seminar gives you a clinically powerful, neurologically respectful framework that is ideally suited to today’s patient demands.

Who Should Attend

Ideal for:

  • Chiropractors seeking deeper hands-on approaches to regulation

  • New grads wanting confidence and clarity

  • Experienced chiropractors wanting to expand without changing their core technique

  • Practitioners interested in Polyvagal care, fascia, and nervous-system-based practice

  • Chiropractors attending Concordia who want to add hands-on clinical depth to the weekend

No previous Safety Corridor training required.

Dr. Emir

I would say the MacDonald Safety Corridor Protocol is a more in depth way of assessing and adjusting - using modified adjustments which will enhance the ones we already use in practice. I believe if more of us adjust like this, we will have a much more relaxed community
